Waiting on our house closing and buying plants for the spring
So, apparently, this is what the lawyer for the seller has been doing instead of what he's paid for. Since we were supposed to close on the house and our lawyer assures us he requested the necessary documents from the other guy (or girl I really don't know) weeks in advance. It took Valerie calling around and making a fuss for him to finally send the paperwork, but the closing is likely going to be delayed.
Hopefully we'll still get in this week.
On other news, here's the list of some of the seeds/berries we've ordered for our garden this spring.
From the Starkbros.com nursery, we ordered this collection of berries, and we're pretty excited. We've got a few places around the house which would be perfect for these. The blackberries are all thornless, which is a must, especially since they can become quite a nuisance to get rid of, and thorns make it ten times worse.

Along with these, we got some boysenberries, since I've always wanted to try these.

The funny thing about the raspberries is that they come together in a mix of black and red, but on the site it tells you not to plant them within 100 feet of each other, in order to prevent the spread of diseases. Apparently, black raspberries are more susceptible to diseases. So it's odd that they sell them together.
We still got them.

I know 75 strawberry plants seems a bit excessive, but I'm sure we can find a place for all of them.

It's the right sort of climate for blueberries, so we got a few plants of these as well.

As for the goji berry plant, I was just curious.

We also went a little crazy on our seed buying. It may be because we haven't been able to grow a garden for a while, and it may be that we just got our tax return check and so we were splurging (I say we, but it was mostly me. Valerie just didn't tell me no.) Either way, we got more seeds than we will likely be able to reasonably plant, but we're excited all the same.
In the end I also forgot to get pumpkin seeds, squash, zucchini, sunflowers or marigolds, so I'll be ordering those separately.
